Hi everyone, this is my first drawing in a while. It's graphite (2H,F,B) and white charcoal pencil, on Canson paper. The color of the paper is 'Sky Blue', the size is 8x11". I'm planning to submit it in Salmagundi's "thumb box" exhibition, the artwork cannot exceed 9x12".

I was in the middle of a pastel piece, but cannot get the model to sit for me for over a week. I may do another one of these small pieces as you can submit up to three pieces. I'd like to do a small pastel piece before November's end.

Thanks for looking.

Katrina?? Aaaarrrggghhh!

Sorry. We're still a little jumpy down here in Louisiana.

Very nice drawing. Another blue ribbon coming your way, I'm sure!

This is beautiful, Jimmie. She's another strong, individual woman, nothing "generic" about her, well done!

Jimmy,

I wonder what she is thinking? That is my immediate response to this lovely piece. You may have a difficult time displaying all the awards you are and will be collecting.

I love how you've vignetted this, Jimmie. Just beautiful--mood and mystery.

That's a really strong drawing, Jimmie. Beautiful work!

Another gem. It's always such an absolute treat to see a new post by Jimmie Arroyo. Well done.

Hi Jimmie, when are you going to portray me?
Lovely, beautiful, strong, etc...
I love it!

Jimmie Arroyo 11-01-2005 01:39 PM

Thanks so much!

Sorry, Jeff, to think my next model is named Rita. Kidding! :o

Although I don't like portraying smiles, when Katrina smiled, she looked like a model for da Vinci. She has a classical look about her. I've been trying to get in touch with her to pose for color, but no luck.

Soooooooooooooo, Claudemir, are you saying that you are "Lovely, beautiful, strong, etc..."?

Thanks again.

Strong and full of character, while at the same time delicate and beautiful.
