Hello,
I am proud to present my last work, the portrait of a fine artist: Lacey Lewis. It is oil on canvas 40 x 30 cm on a reference photo taken by lacey. Beautiful pose I think and very nice model. I hope to made a nice job.
I want to thank lacey for her patience.. :)
Any comment is precious for me.

Hi Luca--
This has a soft classic kind of feel to it.
Two things that strike me right off:
- her hand seems far too small (and arms maybe??)
- the edges around the mirror on the wall seem too hard compared to how soft the edges on Lacey are... pulling attention to the mirror rather than the subject.

Hope that's helpful!

Luca,

I started to jot some comments down earlier but ran out of time and didn

Okay, one other thing you might experiment with is adding some variation in the hue of the wall, especially as you move away from the light source. It occurs to me that judicious placement of a bit of thin glazing with, say, viridian might better portray the changes in light across the format. Don't get extreme with this. I'm thinking of something very subtle.

Apologies for all the distracting typos in those posts. I hope I've corrected most of them, Luca, before you worried that I was throwing a odd English dialect at you.

I also look forward to more!

Hi Luca,

Thanks for making such a sensitive portrait! I was happy to model for you and am pleased with the painting.

I think you have a lot of great advice in this thread. Happy painting! :sunnysmil

Thanks to all for the help,
in these days I start retouching the paint and I will take some photos (better than this I hope) of it. I think that is better to post also the reference photos.

Bye, luca.

Thanks for your post. I agree with Steve's suggestions. Soften the edges in the mirror and table a bit, and adjust a few values. Nicely done. It has a nice feel to it. I enjoy it.
