My grand fahter
 

Hello,
this is my last portrait. Is my grand father, a man that was in the second world war. He was captured from URSS but he escaped and return in Italy. This is an oil on canvas 40 x 30 cm.

Hello Luca, Thank you for posting this sensitive painting of your grandfather. I think this unusual pose is interesting compositionally. I think you are having a hard time with the lighting on him, which looks like flash photography. (Any painter would have problems with this kind of photography.)
