Bridal Portrait
4 Attachment(s)
Hi!
I just returned from my sister-in-laws wedding, and was able to sneak in a quick photo session with her before she was off to be married. She and her now husband went through a traditional courtship and had their first kiss (ever for either of them) on their wedding day. ;C Also, she made her own dress, and not from a pattern! I already know that I like the profile shot, but I want to know what you think about the quality of the other pics. I definately like the poses, but do you think that too much of her face is in shadow to make a nice painting? If not, I just may create paintings from a few of these refs. All input is appreciated! |
P.S. I don't know how these will appear on others' screens, but on my laptop the shadows are clear and on my desktop they are very dark. So, do not take any darkness of shadow into consideration because I can adjust to see into them. But I am interested in your opinions on the placement/ratio of shadow and light.

I vote for photo 2 or 3. I like her smile in 2 and I like her "expectant" expression in 3.

Guess I should read more carefully. As far as light/shadow goes, as long as you can lighten those shadows I would think you could use any of the photos. I think photo 3 has the best light to shadow ratio. But I think the profile shot is more 'Lacey Lewis' than photo 3.

I personally like photos 3 & 4 - more for photo 4 because it has that deep mystery about her. But since this is for a portrait, i reckon using photo 3 might work best, as the shadows aren't too deep here.
