Marvin's Value Scale Exercise

Participants at Marvin's Las Vegas Workshop received several pages that addressed Value Scale exercises.

There is one form each for Form Lighting, Rim Lighting, Front and Back Lighting and lastly a page for Lighting Combinations. Each one of these pages has these stripes that are meant for different value combos according to the light source.

Unless I was comatose from the Vegas heat, I don't recall Marvin talking about how to use these scales. Marvin is very busy with painting Cardinal Egan and I don't want to bother him. I am counting that one of his former students on this forum knows what I am talking about and can help me with instructions on how to do these exercises.

Thanks!

Gosh, I wish I could help you. But I did want to tell you how lucky that I think that you are taking a workshop with Marvin. I am planning on doing that someday. I just have to find a bit of time. He's one of the best there is in my book. Also I plan to take a workshop with Guan Weixing. Those are my two most favorite portrait artists that are painting today.

I hope that someone will help you soon. :)
