Stunning portrait! The eyes really look liquid. Beautiful.

Yes, you certainly are finished and what a finish indeed! I feel like I am repeating myself (I am) but this is superb, Julie. It's so rich in color and so alive in spirit.

Terri Ficenec 07-31-2005 11:49 PM

Beautiful Julie! I especially like how you handled the shadows and bright light on her face. She's vibrant and glowing.

Thanks, Linda, Lisa and Terri -

The "finish" mainly consisted of fine details, but the bigger fixes were fixing the lower lines of the eyes, adding detail to the forehead, and softening outlines (thanks, Alan and Michelle!)

Love the energy of this!

Julie,

I am really captured by the way you have expressed the energy of this individual. She is so alive and deep. A force of nature.

Brava!

Julie, you already know how much I like this, but I just want to say once again that it is such a powerful portrayal of your friend. Really impressive!

JUlie,

Dramatic, different and impressive. Beautifully done.

Julie Deane 08-01-2005 08:11 PM

Molly, Alex and Sharon -

Thanks - she IS a "force of nature" at times, and can be very dramatic, which I tried to portray.
