Hi everyone,

Recently a local corporation invited me to work on their head-guy's portrait as a gift for his retirement. I was given a tight dateline, 'cos my client said "HE'S COMING!!"

I wasn't very confident that I'll make it in time, but thanks to the "quick-drying additives" thread, I took to Mr Greene's formula and it helped a lot in getting the painting up and ready by the next day, for work through every stage! So now here it is, I'm humbled by the presence of you wonderful artists here, to kindly give me your best comments so that I can learn from and become a better artist in my coming works. Congratulations on your commission! Nice use of your warm colors and composition. I like how your couple leans in towards each other so naturally. It tells the viewer that they are close emotionally. They look like a loving happy couple.

From your statement here, it looks like you are looking for critiques. May I suggest that you add your portrait to the Painting Critique section and include your reference photo?
