Nikon D70 and LOW light - how does it do?
I'm interested in taking photos in very low light situations, such as by candle or lamp light. I'm wondering how this camera performs under such conditions. If you've ever shot in a any low light situation with this camera I'd appreciate your input. How was the detail in the lights and darks, color quality etc.
Thanks. |
Zachary,
In my opinion there is no comparison between the digital SLR's and all other styles and types of digital cameras with regards to shooting in low light. I've said it before - the D70 is a low light machine, and I have no reason to believe that other comperable digital SLR's are not similarly suited. I would commend you to the following link which is a test regarding extremes of ISO settings on the D70: http://forum.portraitartist.com/showthread.php?t=4472 |
Zachary, you might want to check out the website www.dpreview.com and I think they may even have a Forum there where people do nothing but talk about their cameras. I imagine you'd find a wealth of info there.

Thanks for the help.
