Congrats Linda Brandon and Bill Whitaker!

I haven't seen this posted yet, so I'll be the lucky one to say the first congratulations to Linda Brandon for her great cover article with/about Mr. William Whitaker in this latest issue of PSOA's newsletter!

Kudos to you both!

Yes, congratulations!!

I saw it too and I thought it was great.

So Janel and I are the only ones who have seen this?

I figured there would be many more members of the PSOA on this forum. Maybe we can get Linda to post her text.

Yes - someone should post it. Congratulations to both of you.

Thanks, Beth, Janel and Kim. Bill Whitaker deserves all the credit here.

If anyone who isn't a member of PSOA would like to read this article, please email me and I can snailmail a copy to you.

great article!

Hi Linda,
I enjoyed your article and it was well-written and very informative! I'm coming to Scottsdale in few weeks for the Whitaker workshop and I can't wait!! What caught my interest the most in the article was the part about the necessity of having north lighting (I have southern exposure in my tiny basement studio and it does drive me nuts). I've known this is very important, but now the reality is setting in that we eventually must move ( I keep waliking around the house imagining our bedroom or family room as a studio since they are on the north side of the house. My husband thinks I'm nuts!). But, if I am to reach the goals I am setting for myself I guess this is just the price one must pay. The article was very inspiring made me want to strive for the best. Thanks!!

Mr. Whitaker's Article

Hello,

This is my first post to Stroke of Genius, although I've been a visitor and member for a while.

A PSA member, I read Linda's article on Bill Whitaker, and I was awestruck by the pictures of his work. I really want to study with him somehow, someday soon. I already thoroughly believe in Bill's north light perspective, and would love to experience a studio set up that way first hand. I feel his work is one of the very finest examples of naturalistic painting in the world; and, as I've seen many works of the masters first hand, I know what I'm talking about.

I have attended Daniel Greene's summer workshops, and came out of there so fired up! Working with a master in your vocation is not to be beaten.
