Essential Footgear

I wear these shoes every day. I can stand for 6 + hours on concrete, and could still go dancing at night ( if I knew how to dance, or if I danced with someone who knew how to dance - well you get the idea.)

They look a little goofy to everyone else, but when I have them on and look at my feet, they just look like sneakers to me. My husband will not go anywhere with me if I wear them. Depending upon one's position, this may be either good or bad.

They are only sold at the Z-Coil stores.

Chris, is your foot fairly flat (level) inside the shoe? It's hard to judge by the picture. Last summer I wore the wrong shoes to a museum and ended up with plantar faciitis. (sp?) I'm wondering if these shoes would help my problem. I stand six hours a day at school (I go to The Atelier in Minneapolis) - figure drawing isn't too bad because of the breaks, as long as I make myself sit down, but when I'm working in my cube I tend to forget about breaks... until I'm in pain. I put floor mats in my cube recently and it helped some, but those shoes look like they're worth a try!

PS They are kinda funny looking!!

Hi Debra,

About plantar fasciitis, I can't say. Both arches on both of my feet are flat and I have bunions ( more than anyone wanted to know, I am sure), and I have a dreadful time finding comfortable shoes. The foot is not entirely flat in the shoe, the heel is elevated about 1 1/2 inches.

You could contact the company , or perhaps your doc to see if they had any experience.

Chris, I read on their website that they are good for faciitis, and they have a store in Minneapolis, so I plan on finding some this weekend. Thanks!

Shoes

Chris, I've been wearing the shoes for about three weeks now. I love them! My feet feel about 95% better. A couple other people at school plan on getting them too. They've been a real life saver, I was seriously wondering if I'd be able to make it through the four years of school here. That's no longer a worry for me. Thanks for sharing the info.

Debra

PS. My husband WILL go with me when I wear them, but then again, I go with him when he wears his weird winter hat.... so I guess we're even..... or we're both weird.
