Lucien Freud in the news again
 

Lucien's portrait of model Kate Moss, nude and pregant, is to go up for auction and is expected to bring 6.5 million.

Someone should tell Kimberley Dow -- she could get some big bucks for her pregnant lady painting. Tell the world it's "After Lucian Freud"!

I couldnt find a photo of that painting anywhere online.

I suppose the good news behind all these stories of folks like Lucian Freud and Odd Nerdrum getting huge prices and big publicity for their work is at least they are representational, figurative painters. I'd be depressed if the big name/big price tag living artists were getting all that acclaim for doing drip paintings or patterns of squares.

Seriously though - that cannot be anatomically correct, can it? That is the largest belly I have ever seen. I had a gigantic belly - and it wasnt that big.
