Nice Job

Hi Armin -

This is really nice work! You have more patience than I think I ever will have - so much detail, and so much area you had to cover.

The closest eye appears a bit distorted to me, but I like it. Kind of a mild photograph fish-eye effect. It really adds to the feeling that the viewer is very close; in fact, too close to your "personal space". This adds a bit of a feeling of discomfort, but the discomfort works for this drawing.

About the only suggestion I would make is to cover the shoulder on the right with something and decide if that shoulder is necessary to the drawing. I personally like it better without, but I think this is a matter of personal preference.

Once again, another incredible piece. Glad to see you visiting, hope you continue to contribute.

Armin,
I like this self portrait and usually I find I'm hard pressed to see a self portrait which impresses me. I believethey are very difficult to do. But this has so much strength, and it is a very good drawing. You make me want to find a mirror myself!!

Very Cool! I'll bet you're a big fan of Citizen Cane!

Armin, your portrait is amazing. It's so realistic.

May I ask you how long did it take to draw this size of portrait?
