A small watercolor Mother's Day gift on a rush commission.
I am posting here because it is done, but somehow as a watercolor, the OTHER category of media has a rather sparse readership.

It is 11" x 9" on 400# watercolor cold press, in a hectic 6 hour turn around from digital photo via email to the stopping point. If the client likes it, it is off to Los Angeles for framing tomorrow.

Debra - this is adorable. Wonderful composition and the little bunny really pulls you in to that really cute face.

Wow, what can be done in six hours! Another great job dj.

Thank you both.

I will decline compositional kudos, it was a photo by the client. Having been doing a lot of work on animal portraits, I must admit, I got a bit of butterflies attempting skin, much less Asian skin, but the bunny fur and amazing 3 month old head of hair, was a piece of cake.

I suppose it is the bane of the beginning artist's existance, having to rely on client's photos for kids and pets, but it is much easier when the client knows how to use a camera!

So we must call this a rendering, which I must say, I am very happy with as well.

Debra, I'm impressed. Yes, it helps to have an excellent photo to work from, but your command of the medium and ability to portray those delicate baby flesh tones as well as the twinkle is terrific. Kudos for that!

Well done indeed Debra,

Especially in a medium that is so unforgiving and leaves no room for error or rework. Looks just like you knew what you were doing! Love that baby fuzz hair.
