Carlsbad, CA Oil Painter

Greetings, all.

I have poked around here for a week or so since my buddy Morgan told me about this site and forum.

There are some incredible artists aboard here, and it is humbling to come to know their work. I am enthused with the grace demonstrated by the members here. Something I have always known about the art community is here for the world to see: we all want to help each other get even better.

I look forward to conversing with you all. Oils move me, as does music, and words.

No bio here—you can read my bio at my website—and if you want to know my heart, read my blog.

Welcome!

A big hello from down under.

Been to your site and I love 'foralways, forever'. I am also a newbie to the forum, there is a wealth of info here, you'll get addicted as I and others have.

Good Journey!

Dear David,

I'd like to share my warm welcome as well; you will be a valued member in the Forum.

I look forward to seeing much more of your work, which I think really is lovely, not to be confused with the way the gift guy would present it.

Kindest regards,

Wow, Chris... you really did read my bio. :)

Anybody need a painting shrink-wrapped?

Hi David!

I visited your blog and your website, also, and really enjoyed my "visit"! I have borrowed two of your quotes to send to some friends and thought I'd share them here too. I'm sure other artits will love these as well.

"One's art goes as far and deep as one's love goes

and there is no reason for painting but that." -Andrew Wyeth

- and -

"Hide not your talents
they for use were made.

What's a sundial
in the shade?" -Benjamin Franklin

From viewing your website I would say you are painting with your all. Your work is beautiful!!
