Mr. Jones son
1 Attachment(s)
I decided to go back to my old high school one day, and I talked to my old drafting teacher. I showed him some of my recent work and he was impressed. Well, out of the blue he handed me a photo of his son and asked me to draw him. Of course I agreed, and got to work. The drawing is 17" x 14", done with ebony pencils on Strathmore paper.

Chase,
There are a few things that look a little awkward (the off-center chin, for example), and it would be helpful if we too could have a look at the reference photo. It looks from the drawing as if the photo presented some challenges, and even if so, there might be ways to deal with them. |
Thanks Steven. I wish I could give a reference photo, but when I gave Mr. Jones the drawing, I returned the photo to him. I had to slim him down a bit because the sweater made him "look chubby." So I slimmed the stomach and slimmed out the cheeks. It was a little bit of difficulty, but I thank you for your comment and suggestion.

Okay, well, a couple of things anyway, just briefly. The narrowing that you mention having done (perhaps you can tell us your thinking on why that was done) may be in part responsible for the upper half of the head
