Christian paintings project

I was contacted over the internet about a project to do 12-24 Christian-themed paintings a year. The information I have is:

size, medium - about 20" x 24", oil
reference - photos available
subjects- potentially more than one in a painting, saints
budget - $2,500/painting

After I thought about it, I realized that this could tie someone up full time or close to it, so I asked if they were open to using more than one artist and the answer was yes. I also understand that the budget is well below what you would charge normally for a portrait, but perhaps you know someone you could recommend.

My percent would be 10%.

Please let me know if you or anyone you know might be interested in this.

A presentation has now been done to this company and we are waiting to hear a response. If they are not interested in any of the artists presented, we will be looking to broaden our search for candidates.

I feel bad that I missed out on that one. Didn't think to look at the opportunities. I know I could have done a great job. oh well...

Cynthia, I am interested in getting more information regarding the religious paintings. What type of photo references are available? How much control over will the artist have regarding subject matter and method in which it was painted?

I'm rather disappointed in their response. I did quite a bit of work on gathering together a group of interested artists and presenting them. To date, I've heard nary a word from this company. They appear to be very reputable, so I don't know what they problem is. I won't be presenting anyone further until and if I hear something from them.

Hopefully they will respond very soon. It must have been a very busy month.

They've never answered any of my emails or phone messages after I put together a presentation, so I doubt I will pursue this further.
