I must have spent an hour and a half on each eye! Any comments and suggestions prior to delivery would be helpful.

I tend to have a cross-eyed problem. Does anyone see that here?

Wow! What an extra set of eyes can see! I printed out your suggestions and took them to my studio. One by one I adjusted and tweaked. You were right Stephen, it only took me a little time to apply your suggestions. I hope I did them justice. I also hope I didn't mess something else up. If I did, it's too late, because I just delivered the portrait. The client was very happy, which in turn makes me ecstatic!

Sorry for misspelling your name, Steven. My mind has been on other things of late, so my spelling and attention span have suffered.

I am sorry. No structured critque here. I know. Not allowed.

But

I am so impressed. This is beautiful! Thanks for sharing! I'll study it. Such detail! Do you use your fingers to smudge and create that detail? Love it.

Actually, Sophie, critiques are fine here, as this is in fact the Critiques section of the Forum. It's in the Unveilings section, showcasing work that the artists consider finished and complete, that critiques are discouraged.

In this particular instance, however, the work has indeed made it over to Unveilings, so perhaps that's what you were thinking of.

oops, hi hi....;) ;) ......my mistake.....I meant that I am not giving any structured critique and that I just wanted to say how great this portrait is! And I know this is the critique section, so I figured my post was not 'allowed'...since there is nothing in there than........'oooooooh....how beautiful!'

;)

Expressing admiration for work well done is always an acceptable "critique", Sophie, so don't be shy.
