Scott,

This is a beautifully intense and thoughtful portrait, set off by that wonderful "Bartner Lavender" background. Great job, as usual.

I like it, Scott.

Finish

I like it, too. It has a lovely finish that reminds me of some of the old masters. Sometimes a fine finish has a jewel-like quality that is hard to look away from. I'll bet it does not disappoint in person.

Yes, as soon I saw this I thought of the very old paintings of the Dutch masters. I too like that line around the edge. It helps make the portrait into a painting of good design. It becomes something someone would hang on their wall even if they didn't know the person. Very interesting! Did you use the cad. red deep, yellow ochre, ultra blue for this one also? Thanks for posting this.
