Second attempt

Well, I got a little braver this second try around but feel like I am making a big mess. Using the only model available these days, my Gerber baby.

Not A Mess!

Mary,

Many people would kill to do this well on their initial attempts. The baby is deft and charming!

I have another suggestion for a process that helped me when I first started to do pastels. Summer is coming, hire a young teenager and work from life. It is hard at first but you will see color in skintones that you never knew existed. I am roping in the neighboring teen myself! It helped enormously when all I had was the photo reference. I knew I was safe in punching up the colors.

Sincerely,

Mary,

Beautiful! And the kid isn't bad looking either.

Thank you. And Kim...she takes after her mother. ;)
