Has anyone heard of Mildred Greene?
 

I received the following email from someone. I thought I'd try to help her out:

"I am looking for portrait artist Mildred Greene. Last I saw her was around 1965 in Long Beach CA. She had painted foreign and U.S. diplomats and other notables. So far I've not found her. If you have any information about her whereabouts, please advise where I can look and contact her. In 1965 she painted a beautiful portrait of my then three year old daughter."

Using anywho.com, there seems to be 4 Mildred Greenes currently living in California. Here's the link should your person want to pay the few dollars for the records, so to contact them and see it they are the "right" Mildred. Of course this assumes Mildred is still alive and living in CA.

I found a Mildred Greene in Long Beach at 562-591-1329. I called the number to verify if she is an artist , but no one was home. Maybe the person who has contacted you might want to give it a try.

I'm familiar with an artist named "Millie Greene" who is active in the California Art Club. You can probably locate her through that organization. http://www.californiaartclub.org
