Introducing Dan Saunders

Hi everyone,

I am very happy to now be a part of the SOG Forum.

I guess I should tell you a little bit about myself. I am an artist from Gaithersburg, Maryland. I have been drawing and painting for over 30 years, most of which is portraiture. I consider myself to be a classical realist.

Oddly enough, most of my portraits now are nudes.

In addition to portraits (in oil and pencil) I create a great deal of religious art including church murals. I am a member of "Christians In Portraiture".

If I do it right, I will upload my latest pencil portrait here. The subject's name is Chelsea and she is a 15 year old model with a very classic look about her. This drawing of her has now become my logo. I hope everyone here likes it.

Hi Dan,

Welcome to the forum. I'm fairly new also. What I like about the SOG Forum is the wealth of knowledge and wisdom to be found here. My suggestion, if you have not already done so, is to read each and every post. There's a lot to be learned here. Nice drawing of young Chelsea, by the way.
