Doubtful?
 

While hanging around the frame shop waiting on my much too expensive frame job, my framer entertained me with this little pearl.

"The greater the artist, the greater the doubt, perfect confidence is granted to the less talented as a consolation prize".

I know I used to be a lot more confident in my abilities -- until I started to really learn something about painting!

I doubt about so many things in my life... I'm not sure whether I am therefore a great human being - or artist...I doubt it... :bewildere

Someone once quoted a great artist to me--I believe it was Tintoretto or Caravaggio or someone that far back--who said "Painting is difficult and the more I learn, the more difficult it is."
