Another quick study
 

Until I'm told to stop I continue to drag old studies out of the proverbial closet. This painting, among many others, was painted at an evening session of our local art group and has only been seen by family over the last fifteen years. I brought it home and made no changes since I had no plan to ever show it.(It's 20"x14" oil on canvas board)

These sessions are great for the developing and accomplished artist and it amazes me that more artists do not take advantage of these opportunities or establish workshops in their own communities.

Oh, I just love this. You are really in control of your planes!

At our local Allan Banks workshop, I met 14 local artists, and between them, there is practically a life session any day of the week to choose from, which I mention only to inspire other artists who frequent this Forum to go out and beat the bushes until you flush out a local open studio session. It is a remarkable opportunity, and for those out there without such a group: start one!
