Daniel,

What an ambitious undertaking. I think it looks great on all points. What was the inspiration for this?

Hello Daniel,

Mike,

Since you lived in San Antonio, you may remember the McNay Art Museum. I was there on a Saturday last month doing plein air painting. It seems that there were many groups taking pictures at their beautiful gardens that day. One of the groups getting their photos at the McNay were these dancers. Their colorful costumes and dramatic poses left me in awe. I was just at the right place at the right time. With their permission I took photos, while the real photographers were taking their photos.

This Sunday I plan to enter this painting into a juried show.

Thank you for your comments Mike and John.

Daniel,

I do remember the McNay though I haven't been there in many years. Good luck in the show, I'm sure this painting will do well.

Gorgeous piece, and quite a dramatic size -- I want this painting for my living room!

What a beautiful and original painting! The position of each dancer draws the eye into the painting and the vivid colors hold our attention.

Great job!

No suprise there Daniel, I'll bet second place was a speck in the distance. The Coppini site looks interesting, however I couldn't get it to load very well. The location maps never would come up.
