Cute kid and nice photo, but the lean bothers me. I think it is too severe to the right. It makes me want to crook my head way over to see what he looks like. Sorry, I think you can get a better angle. |

Thanks for the input everybody! Mike, I like the work you did, and I like the upper body, but the hips and legs do not look natural to me. What do you think? This is another picture of Chase (he likes this one). To me it looks like a good snapshot. I would rather have a more natural looking reference.

I still think your best bet is an indoor window lit shot cropped to down to below the chest, Three quarter head. Use a tripod with 400 film. Keep the camera no higher than his eye level. Take about 10 variations on this theme and I bet you get a winner.

I like that better! I will pick up another roll of film and try to get him into that position again. I've taken so many rolls of them (both sons), that when I mention pictures they groan.
