Using ICQ & AOL IM to chat with another

If you're not familiar with these two programs, they are wonderful for having an "in the moment" conversation online with someone. You type back and forth in a screen and the other person receives your communication instantaneously. For more intense or involved conversations, this is wonderful. If you use one of these, you might want to enter your ICQ or AOL IM in your posts if you're open to other artists contacting you. You can also enter these though "Your Controls and Options".

To download ICQ for free, go to http://www.icq.com. To download AOL IM for free, go to http://www.aol.com.

By the way, if you haven't considered using this to converse with your clients, it can be a real time and cost saver. Imagine you have a brilliant idea for a portrait at midnight and you would never call the client then. But, you go online and there is your client llogged onto AOL Instant Messenger. You can communicate with them while the idea is hot instead of waiting until the next day.
