Ohio Chapter of PSOA
 

I just learned yesterday that my drawing "Jackie" was accepted into the Portrait Society of America Ohio Members Exhibition. I was also notified that it won an award which will not be disclosed until the reception in Columbus in November.

To date, I believe "Jackie" is my favorite drawing so I am happy this "baby" made it into the exhibit. And thrilled it won something!

I can only echo what everyone else has said! I think I would agree about it being the best of your drawings that I've seen. The overall feel, expression, line quality, and--well--everything about it is wonderful. A well-deserved award. Congratulations!

The reception and awards ceremony was yesterday and I was so pleased to discover I won Third Place! I have to add that one of our own, Amanda Grosjean had a beautiful self portrait in the show. Nice to meed you Amanda!

I just received an e-newsletter from the Cecilia Beaux Forum (part of the Portrait Society of America) and there was a huge image of your drawing illustrating the event! Out of all the works, they chose yours - quite an honor, I think, and a testament to the quality of this piece.
