This morning's work. Oil cropped to about 18 x 14.

Marcia sat really still, hard work. She has beautiful coloring.

Oh Chris, this one is lovely.

Richard Monro 03-22-2006 05:10 PM

Chris,
it is a treat to see beautiful work done in such sure, bold stokes. Looking forward to your next sketch.

Alexandra Tyng 03-22-2006 06:24 PM

Chris,

This is great. I love the energy and economy of your brushstrokes. This one is so vibrant with that yellow-green against the pink flesh tones.

Linda Brandon 03-22-2006 06:47 PM

Beautiful, Chris! I really love the brushwork and color harmonies on this one.

Terri Ficenec 03-22-2006 07:02 PM

She does have lovely coloring Chris -- it shows! Beautiful.

Kimberly Dow 03-22-2006 07:33 PM

Beautiful Chris. I love her nose especially. How long was this session?

Sharon Knettell 03-22-2006 08:16 PM

Lovely clear skin-tones. She reminds me of a younger Betty White.

Thank you all very much.

We had about 2 1/2 hours or so. Carol Norton came to heckle us. We had fun.

Great form and design, Chris. The work looks fresh and effortless.

I love this, Chris

This is so alive! Love the expression and the handling of the vignette. I feel like I'm in the room with her. :)

Gorgeous Chris!!!! Your skill is amazing.

Marcia, Marcia, .......

Chris, this is wonderful!

Gosh, she does look so familiar.... Could Marcia have a twin sister named Marcia? An essentially indentical Marcia shared studio space several years back .....I don't think she's been anywhere near Arizona anytime recently, but you've captured her so well. Do we ever unknowingly paint more than one person at a time?

However, there is only one Chris!

Kudos....Kudos.

Garth

2- 1/2 HOURS?????

Chris, I don't think I like you anymore.

Of course, I am kidding. I'm just blown away, that's all. Wow!

Oh heavy sigh........I have so much work ahead of me.

Serioiusly, this is beautiful.

Chris, what an inspiration, two and a half hours.

I would love to have my easel next to yours at the studio and just sit and watch those brushes fly. I think we better record your strokes or put you on a brushstroke countdown of some description. You have done so much with so little strokes. Confidence abounds.
