Julie Deane recently took first place in the Portrait Society of Atlanta's "Drawings Only Exhibition" for her charcoal/graphite drawing "Bea".

Competition is always intense for the PSofAtl awards, so a very big congratulations for this well-deserved recognition, Julie! (Can you post a photo for us?)

She came to our church with a friend wearing a different but equally nice hat, along with that "presence" she projects. I felt I just had to draw her! Luckily she was okay with that....
