Incredible -- and so powerful!

Chris Saper 01-14-2004 03:49 PM

Beautiful, Armin!

Great to have you join us!

Marvin Mattelson 01-14-2004 04:49 PM

Masterful!

More?

Can we see more?-this is very powerful. The eye is the shadow is very delicately done.

Armin,

I am so disappointed you have no website to see more.

Armin Mersmann 01-15-2004 10:54 AM

Thank you Michele, Chris, Marvin, Timothy, and Kim for your kind comments on this portrait. And thanks for making me feel welcome!

Kim, I am working on a website, it should be in a working condition within a month. I am doing it myself and hate the process, although in my job I work with many graphic programs, html just drives my nuts.

Armin,

Your drawings are superb, fantastic, phenomenal, masterful - need I say more? I am so glad to hear that you are working on a web site and am anxious to see more of your work.

Just incredible! What did you use for your darkest darks?

Armin Mersmann 01-31-2004 01:41 PM

Thank you Heidi, Tim and Carl.

Tim I use this composition quite a bit, straightforward in your face against the rules stuff. I like the unsettling and somewhat uncomfortable situation it put the viewer in, almost like a faced to fact confrontation.

Carl, I use only graphite, Mechanical pencils. .5, B and 2B softer leads flatten the paper and give it to much shine.

Thank you all for looking

Armin

Armin,

If your small self image to our left is a self portrait I would love to see a larger image. I'm thinking it may be the best of the bunch.
