A while back you mentioned that one of the portraits you'd posted was your best work yet. You have to admit, you've topped it by far. This one and "The Secret" are the best you've done, in my opinion.

Now, can you do it on a consistent basis? (Yikes!)

I like it. Great expression on her face, and the way she holds the book is a strong compositional element. Liked 'the Secret' too. Is this an actual portrait or does the painting tell a story? (or both?)

Beth, this is by FAR, in my opionion your best one yet. Or at least "my" favorite, Congratulations.

Way to go Beth! It's good enough for me to forgive you for hiding it from me until it was done. On second thought, maybe that was a good plan. :oops:

I re-painted her hands, the one on our left was off enough to make the right one look off too and I made her hair softer.
