Thank you Tim, Peter and Cynthia. Here are the images. I just now saw this thread as I was gone this weekend attending the ASOPA workshop in San Francisco with Carl Samson, Virgil Elliott and Craig Nelson.

AHEM

Ahem...

May I point out AHEM! AHEM!

one of the artists here got THREE awards including a 3rd place award in the same contest (Artists Magazine) that seems to impress everyone so greatly by an honorable mention. Few seem to note or remark upon Deladier's news. The disparity of the number of responses to these two announcements of such differing scale is noteable and regrettable.

We need not ignore one artist's achievements at the risk of diminishing another.

Del,

My congratulations on the recognition you have achieved. I have admired your work as you've posted it on the forum, and I was glad to be able to meet you in person this weekend.

Tim,

When I post is much more dependent on how busy my personal schedule is than on anything else. I think this is true for many, and it is neither fair nor useful to read meaning into anyone's post or lack thereof.

Well deserved congrats, D.

I always enjoy watching your works in progress. And miss seeing new ones. When are you going to post another???

Hello, Jean.

Thank you and Chuck for the encouraging words. I just posted a study in the oil critiques section.

You can reach it from here.

Deladier,

I too, watched the progression of these paintings with awe. You are so talented, I just about have to remind myself to breathe when I look at them! Congratulations! I am so happy for you, your rewards are richly deserved! I'm sorry I did not say so before, but I often wait for the more accomplished artists to add their kudo's before I jump in. You have more natural talent than anyone I have ever seen.

Bravo!

Marta

Deladier

Wau, I did not realize you won more than one award. Awesome! Congratulations, well deserved!

I also enjoyed meeting you in SFO and will be looking forward to watch another award winning piece develop.

Elizabeth Schott 07-27-2003 11:41 PM

Oops Deladier, I feel bad - I thought I gave you a clapclapclap, but it looks like I didn't yet, but I must say, I new these were winners from the start! Congratulations! I still think the hands are magnificent!

Marvin Mattelson 07-28-2003 12:03 AM

Well deserved!

Well deserved recognition! I think of the portrait of Max Mack as one of my all time favorites, by any artist.

Kimberly Dow 07-29-2003 02:26 AM

Beautiful paintings!

Deladier, since the Sean Pendergast painting is titled as a study will you be painting this again?

Deladier Almeida 07-29-2003 09:25 AM

Kimberly, I did paint him again. It was a fiasco. You can see it here.

Kimberly Dow 07-29-2003 02:40 PM

Fiasco? You're crazy. I do like the study better though.
