Chris,

I knew "Mezzaluna" was a winner when I saw it!

Who is that adorable girl in "Framed"?

Beautiful work, congratulations.

Marvin Mattelson 04-01-2003 10:04 AM

Congrats

Well deserved!

Chris Saper 04-01-2003 11:02 AM

Thanks, Sharon and Marvin.

Sharon,

That girl is my best model, Alexandra, my daughter.

"Framed" was a great deal of fun; I bought a landscape frame (12" x 24") with this idea in mind. I had her sit on a stepstool, holding the frame, and lit her from the bottom with a floodlight.

The photos had awful color, but I worked from a B/W, with the idea of shifting temperature transitions in both the down-facing and up-facing planes. I used a metallic acrylic for the faux frame, which matches the actual frame.

Congratulations on the Hat trick!

"Framed" is absolutely exquisite.

Chris,

I hacked into your web site and raised your prices, hope you don't mind.

We should talk. I think the trophy case I'm working on for you is going to be too small. Call me.
