Jeanine and Marvin, congratulations!
It is really fun to see you guys "in real life" at the website! |
Jeanine,
Congratulations on a job well done. I wished I could have been there and attended the workshops offered by Marvin and Karin and seen you in action. How many submissions did your chapter receive? It looks like all the walls are covered in beautiful artwork. I especially like the red walls, what a great way to showcase the art. |
Winter Make-Up
Thank you, Elizabeth and Enzie!
We received close to two hundred entries from as far away as Spain. In fact, Ms. Almon's selected painting called Sisiters got stuck in Madrid customs and could not make it in time for hanging. I actually saw that red paper in use at an anitique show held in a gymnasium which looked terrific. Faces Co-Chair, Grace DeVito did the research, tracked it down, and we had it delivered in time for hanging. Everyone liked it especially for our Valentine theme. Karin Wells photo workshop has been postponed to Tuesday May 6 along with Jake Munn reproduction framer and Kathi Gernati Interiors. I will repeat my "Language of Flowers" for those who missed it due to blizzard. Details coming to: Faces of Winter |

Marvin,
I have viewed this painting many times on your site and in my opinion it is one of the finest portraits I have seen of any living artist today. May you continue to inspire us with your work. Congragulations. |
Thank you
Mike, you are far too generous. Whatever you're drinking, the next round's on me.
|
Mike and Marvin, I keep waiting to see her breathe, shift a bit on her seat and then tell us all hello.
