At this point in a long list of wonderful comments mine will probably not mean much but I feel compelled to say that this is my absolute favorite of yours because I can see YOU in this! I love the treatment of the hair, the fact I can see painterly strokes of the brush (well placed and thoughtful), and the background. To me Garth, this one has the artist singing beautifully throughout and I congratulate you on a knockout painting of a lovely woman. You brought me out of a crushing amount of work with this one. Back to work. Terrific portrait. Keep singing.

I'm a late comer as well, but congratulations on another successful portrait.
I also feel her warmth. I think it is the sparkle (lines) from her eyes that does it for me.
My mother has that when she smiles and you can't help but smile back when that happens.
