These are extremely well done. I especially like the lighting. Low key paintings are a preference of mine. There is such a wonderful balance in yours. I am surprised though that you use TW. I find this to be rather chalky and avoid its use nearly altogether. Your palette is somewhat similar to mine, though I include a light red ochre and rose madder.

I would be interested in knowing the dimensions of these as well as the medium vehicles you use throughout your paintings (if any).

Peter, you are definitely posting in the wrong section. Your paintings won't likely get any critiquing here! Only praises. Welcome, and glad you are here. I enjoy your work. It is a delight to look at. The color palette is uncluttered and well balanced. The use of light and shadow is strong. The technique is painterly. What more could you do?

The dimensions of the paintings are 40 x 50 cm (all three of them). I actually like titanium white very much, I tried others but used titanium white again after that. I try to copy the lighting the old masters used.

I use water to mix with the acrylic paint. To mix with oil-paint I use TALENS 'painting medium'. I don't know exactly what kind of ingredients they put in their painting medium. http://www.talens.com

In the near future I want to create a more varied portfolio of paintings. Most of my models are friends of mine which I have painted. I'm starting out as a portrait painter in a commercial sense, so the ASOPA web site and this forum is a valuable source of information.
