Lamenting the Kodachrome exit?

Recently Kodak announced that their famed Kodachrome film would be discontinued.

At James Gurney's blog he shows a recent test comparison of the "last" roll of Kodachrome to a digital image. The results suprised me, and I live in Oklahoma.

Don't miss it

I personally welcomed the advent of digital. I sure spent a lot of money for film and processing, with poorer results. RIP, Kodachrome.
