Don't worry, be happy

Richard,
I have not worked with the Bulldog, know nothing about it. The best approachj is to request a sample from your printmaker on which to do tests of your own. This is what I did initially. And if the product meets your requirements, don't second-guess your success. Count your blessings; a lot of people have no clue where to start.

I recently varnished a small giclee print (on canvas) with brushed on Liquitex acrylic varnish (gloss).

The varnish brought out the colors in much the same way that varnishing an oil painting does (which looked great), and I like the glossy surface on the canvas, but I noticed after it dried that you can see a tiny color shift where some of the brush strokes were applied. It's not awful, but it's unacceptable for any professional use.

So I'm wondering if anyone has tryed Krylon fixative first and then an acrylic varnish over that? I've got a half dozen proofs to practice on, but I don't have any Krylon at the moment. And I was wondering if the Krylon under the acrylic might do something bizarre with surface stability at some point.
