"I have always known I was an artist. My mother has drawings that I made which she has saved since I was three. I truly love painting portraits, knowing that I'm creating something of beauty that matters deeply to the people commissioning it. Each individual element in my paintings matters to the overall impression the portrait makes (what kind of chair the sitter is in, what their facial expression conveys about their personality, etc.) and I love creating a work of art when I know that the subject is so important to the client. That drives me to do the very best work I'm capable of and gives me immense pride and pleasure in what I do."
