The smallest child pictured ordered this 9×12 watercolor portrait of her family as a gift for her mom. The photo I used as a reference shown below was worn and well loved. I used transparent watercolors on Arches-140-lb-cold-pressed paper.
Nice job, Mike, especially given that you were working from a very difficult reference photo. (Many, if not most artists would have declared it an impossible task right from the get-go.) I like that you've eliminated the house and created a neutral background, thus enhancing the feeling of a memory.
