American Legion World Series

Hi everyone.. I've been quiet for sometime with so much going on, some of you may notice I've gone from "Smith" back to "Sparrow".. all is great, I opened a new working art studio in Shelby and since moving to a visible space uptown life has been busier than ever but so fun! (you can see my new studio on our Facebook page "hanging the moon").

I was honored to be chosen to be the first official artist of the American Legion World Series since it began in 1925. I painted the commemorative 48x60 painting, which will hang in the newly completed LeGrand Convention Center with the plan being I will do one every year going forth. Below is a picture of me with Lieutenant General William Ingram, Jr. of the Army National Guard. (We also discussed doing his portrait!)

Nice going, Mary

I've always like that Sparrow handle. I'm glad you are doing well and making the adjustment. In painting and life it's all about adjustments.

Thanks Cynthia and Mike...

Ya know Mike.. I never really took to being "Mary Smith" Never felt like "me" So going back to Sparrow feels like me again, and while it was a rough patch I can say with all certainty that since I've become "me" again my whole world has opened up, so as the old saying goes, when a door closes another one opens... I have to say a million doors open! I've never been happier or busier!
