How do you photograph your finished art
How do you photograph your finished art?
I use a rather common digital camera which gives me good enough photos. But I don't always do such a great job photographing my finished art. I like to photograph it so that I have a record, if nothing else.
I've taken the photos inside, and outside. When shooting outdoors, I usually go to a shaded area that has predominantly north light, prop the painting in such a way that I can get a dead-on photo (no tilting, etc,).
When shooting indoors, I use various settings on my camera (program, auto, etc.) and select the one that turns out best.
Still, I feel I could be doing a better job. I'd like to hear how you do it.
