Beautiful work Tom -- That flower in his hand subtle, understated and fits the mood & setting perfectly. I especially like how you've handled the rosy light on the columns and in the background. Gorgeous!

Tom, fantastic painting as always! The work and planning you put into this painting make it even more stunning! When I was struggling with a painting, Marvin told me that the more you have to make up, the less realistic it will look. Obviously that doesn't apply to this painting!

Hi Renee!

A slight clarification: I pretty much agree with Marvin, in that anything made up will be inauthentic looking. All of the piece-parts of this were observed from reality, just not all at the same time in the same place.

I'll go one step further. Each element you paint needs to be understood, particularly in terms of structure.
