Hi all,
I have replaced the picture since the colors were a bit dull, this one is more true to the painting.
Chris, Linda and Alex,
I tried a new approach this time, Cadmium's, large brushes and loose work, it was fun but I needed a long run up.
Thomasin,
I wanted to limit the colors to blue gray and ochers in an attempt to practice what I preach; only two colors. The simpler the better.
Karine
quote: "I should take example on you and go upstairs and paint that portrait I am not motivated at painting at all."
You are so right, nothing to loose, everything to gain.
David,
thank you, I hope that you are busy, I always enjoy your works.
Carlos,
long time, yes, I have too much to do on the roofs.
You know, I noticed that same resemblance, she has the same sculptural shape of the head like her mother, but different colors.
Mischa,
it sure is good to use the brushes again, but I also don't think that it hurts to take a break now and then to get really hungry. I want to make a bigger painting of Camilla, using the same color harmony.

Yes!
That resemblance with your wife is the very first thing that stroke me!
(I didn't want to write about it in case that Camilla wasn't a member of your family. ...After all, I could have said it anyway...)

This is a lovely fresh image. I love the palette you've used, her expression, the brush marks. It works together in a really lively way.
Congratulations.

Thank you, Enzie and Margaret,
I have tried to cool my palette a bit by skipping of some ochres and umbers, leaving only burnt sienna and light ochre and the cadmium's :lemon, orange and light red cadmium, ultramarine blue and viridian green.
