Although I was born on the Cape and live in MA now... I grew up in New Jersey where I learned how to 'wawk the dawg' rather than 'pahk the cah'. But even that accent was beaten out of me when I went to college in Virginia. So much razzing was heaped upon me that my friends took pity on me a taught me how to speak (northern) Virginian - which is pretty nondescript. If you catch me right after I've been speaking with my family, you might catch a little bit of the Jersey 'aw'... but that's not what you're wanting to hear, I guess. I could put one of my kids on for you... I'd guess they've picked up a bit of the local accent . They're wicked cool!

Simply Beautiful!

Kim,

This is a wonderful painting. Do you have any information on purchasing the book?

Thanks Valerie & Kent!

Kent, the book should be released in August (at least that is when the letter stated they would send out my copies) and it will be available through International Artists - I know they sell their books from their web site and I have seen some in Barnes & Noble. Probably in their magazine as well.

Terri, I bet your kids are wicked awesome.

What a stunning painting, Kim! I feel as though I could walk right through that arbor. And I'm sure that New Hampshire natives really need to hang pictures like that on their walls to get them through those long winters.

Thanks for sharing this with us. Many congratulations! It's well-deserved.

I'll be looking forward to getting it. I have a few paintings with flowers planned.
