I did this one of my friend's son. I started with a live sitting and finished with a photo. It was a joy to do.

Dianne,

The face of this young man is so striking. There's a fresh, immediate quality about the colors of the skin and hair, and the descriptive brushstrokes. I feel you have caught something really interesting about him. Can we see some closeups? I'm especially interested in the features, the ear, the hair, and the neck area.

Thank you very much Alexandra. Yours was just the encouragment I needed. Here are some close ups. There was some glare on the hair when I took this photo and the painting is in its owner's home so I can't take another. I hope this helps.
