Such a bold composition, Linda; I am not surprised at your award! There is such a rich counterpoint between Claire and the wallpaper. Having met your subject, I can verify how well you have caught her. Remember, based on this painting, I spotted Claire from a block away even before you did (having never met her before)!

Can't wait to see this (and you) in D.C.

Garth

My connection has been down for a few days with our move...

Congratulations, Linda! It's a great painting.

Dear Linda, Kim, Garth, Teri, Tom, Michele and David,

Thank you so much for saying these kind words! I'm also looking forward to meeting folks in May. I hope I can get my swollen head through the hatch to board the plane to Washington. But this painting won't be there - as I understand it, only the Finalists are exhibited; the Merit Awards and the Certifcates of Recognition are shown via slide.

Try this one Linda. This new Airbus 380 is said to have the largest hatch in the business.

Actually, I find that my own head has swollen some just because I've met you. I'm tempted to post a photo of you, but I fear harsh retaliation.

These last few painting of yours are really very fine.
