"Dancing Back a Nation"

This is a painting I just finished as part of a collaborative art and poetry project that I am involved in. The plan to is to eventually publish this series in a small book. The project involves historical imagery from our Wyoming history such as the Indian Wars, Custer and the Battle of the Little Big Horn, the steam engine and it's impact on the West, and many more exciting projects. I thought that since most of the paintings include people (because I love to paint people), that I should post them here for critique. Each painting is paired with a narrative poem, and if you'd like to read the poetry, we are working on getting them posted to our Blog. You can view the blog at www.grandpalette.com. Thanks for your interest and I would LOVE some feedback on the artwork. I have not had any artists look at this yet.

Dear Mara,

I amsorry I missed this before - but I think you have done a wonderful job!

I love the design, and especially the way you have managed the edges and atmosphere. Congratulations!
