Judson, I see a lot of improvement in certain areas. Your brush strokes, which I have always liked, are even better than they were. You have a real facility with paint handling. It appears that you really enjoy moving that brush!
Another thing I like is your interpretation of your subjects which is a little quirky, but in an interesting way.
The transitions between light and shadow areas still needs a lot of work. Unfortnuately the lighting of this subject (two light sources, one from each side, with a dark shadow in the middle) is not an easy one to paint. I would try to avoid lighting conditions like this. You see that dark shadow around her mouth? And the shadow that starts in the center of her shoulder and runs down her arm? They jump out at the viewer and take on a life of their own!
Try lighting the figure from one side only. 3/4 of the figure should be in the light. It will be much easier to paint.
Also, your choices of skin color (for both dark and light skin) seem rather limited. Could you post a list of the colors you use? Maybe we might be able to suggest some mixtures to try.
