Jimmie wins @ the Salmagundi
Seems like I just did this.
Oh yes, I did just a month ago - just a different show.
Congratulations Jimmie!
His drawing "Korinne2" has won the Don Donaldson Memorial Award at the Salmagundi's Thumb Box Show in NYC - opens today I believe.
I did not find an image of his drawing so maybe he will come on later and post one.
This is getting to be quite a habit Jimmie! Way to go!

Thanks Kim for taking the time to post this (actually I now owe her a foot massage)
And thanks Alex and Pat!
Here's the image, I honestly don't remember the final size after the drawings were matted. They were 9x12" with more negative space, but I was trying to keep them uniform so I cut the mats to fit the frame better, but never recorded the size. duh.
What's funny is, if you look at the signature, I accidentally left the guide lines I used to make sure the signature was level. It happened in both drawings. Maybe I should always leave them in from now on!

Jimmie, this is fantastic news! What a strong drawing, I'm not surprised it won this award. You are really on a roll. Big congratulations!

I think it's great - it'll, like, be your "signature look"... What a concept.
Oh, and, uh, nice drawing. Congrats on the award!

Good grief Jimmie,
I think you could make a living as a professional portrait contest winner and never have to sell another drawing! Beautiful subject in this one and your drawing did her justice it appears.
